Do you ever get those surveys attached to your receipt where you get a coupon if you call the 1-800 number and give them your opinion? I get them every so often from Petsmart and Petco. Since I regularly shop at both stores, and $2-3 off my purchase helps I call the number. The surveys tend to be long and boring: “Press 5 if you were completely satisfied, press 4 if you were somewhat satisfied”, etc… But the last few I have called I go to press 4 or 5 in answer to the first question and bam! the mechanical voice gives me my validation code. Score! 2 dollars off my next purchase without spending 5 minutes pressing buttons on the phone. I feel a bit like I cheated the system, but really there is nothing I could do different.

Today I went to amazon.com to purchase some new headphones. The ones I wanted were eligible for free shipping, but free shipping was only available on orders over $25, the headphones cost $24.99. I penny short of free shipping! Then co-worker Andrew directed me to Amazon Filler Item Finder where I was able to find a cheap, but useful clamp to fill out my order. Yay.

We finally did it - ordered a new digital camera! I have my eye on the Canon PowerShot SD800 for quite some time. It dropped to a reasonable price, and amazon has a special running where you get a free printer. The reviews of the camera are great, can’t wait to get it.

I have not been to the mall of America in awhile, looks like its time to go. H&M is opening on Sept 23, and Sephora already has opened. It sounds like the 4th floor has all but shut down, with only Hooters remaining. That really doesn’t surprise me though. But, according to the Strib, big things are in the works for our Mall.
