Things

Once upon a time, well, August 13th 1995, Marty and I stayed up all night. Not just for fun, but we were on security detail at new site for the Marshall Kingdom Hall. In order to stay awake we did all sorts of things, including making silly lists:

Things that are easier than you thought

• learning to play cribbage
• learning to live again
• wallowing in it
• making tacos
• bludgeoning soybeans at 3 a.m.
• climbing a basketball pole
• line-dancing to rock music
• driving fast
• having fun at Iowa State Fair

Things that are harder than you thought

• staying awake all night
• being cheesy
• writing stupid lists at 3 a.m.
• skipping backwards in the dark
• telling really good stories at 3 a.m.
• wallowing in it
• counting forms
• making really nice drawings with crayons
• nailing upside down

Heh. Those bring back some memories… Yeah, I listened to country music back then.
