I find myself extremely jealous of those people who can read books, send text messages, and do things other than look straight ahead while riding the bus. Oh well, I will just take my ginger root, put on my headphones and try not to care.

Buggy products “by design” and conspiracy theory: this is what Internet Explorer brings us. It seems that IE makes excessive amounts of requests to image files, quite possibly to bolster hits in server logs, thus making IE appear more popular than it actually is.

I intended to update sooner, but I have been sick for about a week. Finally feeling better. Glad it is Friday.

Today is my 5th day at the new job (still need a clever name for the place). Seems longer. Downtown is so very different than the suburbs. So many different people; with the nice weather I have been walking around quite a bit and enjoying the atmosphere. There is a water fountain in front of the building I work in. Yesterday someone must have dumped a bottle of shampoo in it or something, because all day it was overflowing with piles of suds. On Thursdays during the summer there is a farmers market on Nicolette Mall (where I work -how convenient), so I have been picking up fresh fruit and vegetables.

I managed to take the bus for the first time yesterday. Got a little motion sickness in the morning - must remember to always face forward. I am jealous of all those people reading on the bus. After work I was waiting in the wrong spot, so I missed the first bus, had to wait about an hour for the 2nd. This afternoon I should be able to do it right. Who would have thought riding the bus would be so difficult?

Cool things about new job:
+ Vending machine snacks are cheap
+ The bathrooms are clean

Back at work today, after a 4 day weekend. My days off were not very fun or productive as I think I am coming down with strep throat. Lots of sleeping and watching Alias – I am ¾ of the way through the first season.
