The last 2 days have been busy/fun! Sunday I spent the day with my friend Liza, she is one of my few single friends my age. We had a leisurely lunch on the Applebee’s patio, and then headed down to the St.Croix river to lay on the beach. Since it was in Wisconsin, we went to a liquor store (open on Sunday, gotta love WI) and got a bottle of Everclear – I have recipes for fruit liquors I want to try.
Swam and laid out for about an hour, then took off toward Hudson to meet up with some other friends and hike around Willow River Falls. I had never been there, it was gorgeous. Such a perfect day. The falls we cool, we were able to go underneath them. Hiked more, some more friends met us there.
At about 10 we headed back into the cities, get call from another group of friends that want to get a drink. End up changing their minds 3 times before we finally settle on Friday’s, almost ended up at Applebee’s for the 3rd time. I call Kris to come meet us there – we have drinks and appetizers and fun.
Monday did not get much done. Registered for a class that starts today, worked a little, gave myself pedicure and got ready to go to Les Misérables.
Went to eat at Fhima’s. So, so yummy. We started with a bottle of wine and tuna/salmon appetizer. Very unique, very good. Similar to sushi, but served on a flat bread with capers. Yummy bread with olive paste. For entree we split a pizza with Gorgonzola cheese, kalamata olives, capers, and artichokes. Yum. Finished off with exquisite 3 layer chocolate mouse and Baileys on ice. Perfect meal. Atmosphere and server were great.
The show was amazing. It was at the Ordway in St.Paul, a few blocks from where we ate. We ware a bit late. Had front row balcony seats, very nice. The music was amazing, the performers even better.
Today I am trying to clean up after the weekend, washing clothes and such. My right leg is sore from hiking, weird.Have the ASP class today at 1. I am now eating blueberries plain because I did not want to buy a pint of half&half just for one pint of blueberries. (I hear they are good for your brain)
